Liberal’s second all time leading receiver is leaving Kansas State’s football program for NCAA division 2 Unversity of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.  Martinez was a red shirt at K-State as a freshman.  He commits to  a UCO program which was 11-2 last year.  Martinez played a key roll in Liberal’s football turnaround in 2023.  He had 53 catches for 1,149 yards helping Liberal to an 8-2 season which was their best in two decades.  His 1,149 receiving yards in a season was second most in Redskin history and his 53 catches was third most in LHS history.  His 2,009 receiving yards from 2021-23 are second most in Liberal history.
