Youth Infusion Fuels LHS Golf

With four freshmen in the starting lineup, there is a fresh new feel to the LHS boys golf team this season. With improvements being made to the city owned Willow Tree Golf Course, you get the feeling the LHS golf program is also in a season of transition. They lose Blake Stout, Blake Brenneman, Heath Parmenter, and Shattuck Woods from last year’s team. They return senior Garrett Poulton and junior Caleb Brond with varsity experience. Freshmen Cameron Riley, Sean Titus, Clint Peterson, and Jace Alvarez also will play varsity to begin the season Thursday. Eli Svaty is in his second year as head coach and fifth year in the program. Liberal has 12 out for golf.
