Young LHS Swim Team Shows Improvement

Liberal’s girls swimming team is a young one. Just seven players are back from last year’s varsity for first year head coach Thais Baziquetto-Allen. Liberal has 23 swimmers out for the sport. The team is led by junior Tessa Downs (50 free, 200 IM, 200 free relay, and 400 free relay), sophomore Paige Young (500 free, 100 fly, 200 free relay, and 400 free relay), and junior Macy Hintergardt (50 free, 100 free, 200 free relay, and 400 free relay).

Keep in mind, the interview with coach Baziquetto aired Tuesday morning before Tuesday’s meet at Garden City was postponed.
