Xavier Porras is Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week

Liberal senior running back Xavier Porras is this week’s Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week.  Porras leads the WAC with 864 rushing yards and leads the WAC with 10 rushing touchdowns.  He averages 8.5 yards per carry.  Porras is coming off a 208 yard rushing game against Garden City which included a 96 yard run.  He rushed for 271 yards against Guymon which is the fourth most in Redskin history in a single game.  Porras has also thrown a touchdown pass.  Porras had already surpassed his junior year of 638 rushing yards and seven touchdowns.  At LHS, Porras is involved in basketball, powerlifting, baseball, track, FCA, and NHS.  Porras and the 4-1 Redskins host 5-0 Great Bend for Senior Night Friday night at 7pm on 1270 and 92.3.  Redskin Pre-game begins at 6pm.
