BEAVER, Okla. (AP) – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a woman’s body has been recovered from a lake in northwest Oklahoma, and authorities are searching for a missing 4-year-old boy who they fear has drowned.

Lt. Betsy Randolph says the woman’s body washed up Tuesday evening at a boat ramp at Lake Evans Chambers in Beaver County. Randolph says rescue workers searched until nightfall for a 4-year-old boy believed to be with her.

The search for the child resumed early Wednesday morning, and Randolph says a dive team may be called to the scene.

The woman’s name has not been released.
