On April 27th, at approximately 1:54 pm the Stanton County Sheriff’s Office successfully arrested Micky Don Owens on a Sedgwick County felony drug warrant in rural Stanton County. Owens was released to the Wichita Police Department shortly after and transported to Wichita. Owens was also suspected of a homicide that took place on April 23rd in south Wichita.
Owens has officially been charged with first-degree murder. Assisting with the arrest was the Kansas Highway Patrol, Wichita PD, Seward County Sheriffs Department, and Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
