Westerman is Athlete of the Week

The last time Liberal played volleyball, LHS junior Ashlyn Westerman was the team’s leader in kills and assists in Pratt. Westerman has a unique combination of being able to finish powerfully at the net while lobbing feathery soft assists to teamates. She is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week after making the all tournament team at the Liberal Tournament Saturday. Westerman has a 3.7 GPA. She also is a member of the swim team, FCA, and FBLA at LHS. Westerman and 17-3 LHS travel to the Dodge City Quad on Tuesday.
