The ‘We the People’ group will meet tonight at 7:00 p.m. at the Coronado Museum. The group will hear what is being planned for the new Heritage Center and how the Coronado Museum and Dorothys House benefit the community.
The group will also watch a couple of short videos from the Independence Caucus and there will be a discussion on how they select the candidates they endorse.
The new health care bill will also be discussed. Also, any topic is free game and people of all political parties are welcome to attend.
The Tea Party movement which has helped spark political groups such as ‘We the People’ have gained popularity across the United States over the last year. A recent Rasmussen poll shows that Tea party supporters now make up 24% of American voters. Tha s up from 16% a month ago. Fifty-five percent (55%) of those in the Tea Party movement are Republicans, 14% Democrats. The other 31% consider themselves Independents.
