The November 4th general election is just over three weeks away. And if you plan to cast your vote, the deadline for voter registration is today.

Eligible voters must be residents of Kansas. They also must be 18 years old and a U.S. citizen.

Anyone registering for the first time must submit a document approving their citizenship.

People can register using a paper form, either printed from the Kansas secretary of state’s website or obtained from a county election office. They also can register online through a site operated by the secretary of state and the Kansas Department of Revenue.

Applications can be submitted in person to county election offices before the close of business or faxed, mailed or emailed by midnight.
