The USD 480 Liberal school system was informed this week by the state of Kansas that there will be budget cuts.

USD 480 will lose up to approximately $500,000. Other schools in the area were also informed of budget cuts including Garden City and Hugoton.

The USD 480 Board of Education will have a re-organizational meeting on Monday to begin the 2009-10 school term.
