USD 480 Board Meets, Welcomes Royce Kitts to the Board

The USD 480 Board of Education met Monday evening in regular session and welcomed the newest board member, Mr. Royce Kitts.  Mr. Kitts is the director of the Liberal Memorial Library and fills the vacancy previously held by Matt Durler for the remainder of the term.

In new business, the board approved the installation of additional playground equipment at each of the five elementary schools.  In other business, also approved was a quote from Diamond Roofing and Sheet Metal to remedy current issues with rooftop HVAC units.  Also, approved was 720 new tablets to replace the older iPads purchased in 2012 due to incompatibility issues with different testing and educational applications no longer offering support for these devices.
