The USD 480 Board of Education met Monday evening at 6:30 at the LHS East Annex Room C107. At the meeting, the Board approved the student insurance policy in the amount of $89,986 from Al Shank Insurance.
Purchases of vehicles were also approved by the Board. The first was the purchase of a 71 passenger yellow bus for $105,152.00 from Kansas Truck, Wichita, KS, and the Board also gave the district administration the authority to purchase three 3/4 ton pickups, purchase price not to exceed $165,000. The three proposed pickups will need aftermarket beds installed, either utility boxes or flatbeds. The Administration will be adhering to district purchasing practice and will present these to the board as needed.
