The USD 480 Board of Education met Monday evening at East Campus and approved the District Budget. The Board also approved additional materials for students and teachers that are needed for the implementation of CKLA from Amplify in the amount of $48,131.20. This is a one time purchase, and will be funded with ESSER III funds.

Also approved was the renewal of Aruba support in the amount of $24,751.21. This is for wireless controllers and access points. In addition, the Board approved the Hudl order for $15,300. Hudl is a video analysis and livestreaming platform that can help our teams improve, communicate, and engage fans. Hudl also allows coaches and players to easily access, analyze and share video footage from games and practices and it enables the District to livestream games online using AI technology to capture every moment.

Approved at Monday’s meeting was the purchase of Tripod Survey Services for 2023-2027 in the amount of $71,100 and the Board approved new courses at Liberal High School: Civics, Conceptual Chemistry, Conceptual Biology, Basic English Vocab and Comprehension, and Earth and Space Science. All five courses were approved by the Curriculum Committee on August 2, 2023.

USD 480 utilizes LINQ/Titan as their food service software to handle sales, inventory, meal planning, documentation and reporting of our food service program. The renewal in the amount of $17,910 was approved.

The Board also approved the contract for an instructor to teach Law Enforcement 2, contingent on attorney review of the contract.
