The USD 480 Board of Education met on Monday evening at East Campus and after approving the Consent Agenda, approved the HVAC Connected Controls Service Agreement Renewal from Johnson Controls Inc. in the amount of $14,301.00.

The Board also approved 2 new positions for Liberal High School, a Scheduler and an Activities Secretary.

Approved was the renewal of the subscription for history curricular resources for 7th grade history that have expired in the amount of $16,443.60. This is for 3 years.

The board also gave approval of the contract with Marzano Resources for professional development district-wide in the amount of $125,885.40

The professional development with Marzano Resources will include specific steps to develop curriculum, train staff, deploy new reporting systems, and to communicate with stakeholders. In the comprehensive training, participants will explore a research-backed plan to transition to a standards-based system with practical hands-on strategies to shift into standards-based learning.

New Furniture for LHS Math Department was approved including 30 Desks and 30 Chairs to match the current furniture. Total cost is $11,383.13 from Southern Office Supply of Liberal.
