USD 480 Approves Vehicle Purchases

The USD 480 Board of Education met Monday evening and in New Business, approved an update to Resolution Q to reflect the hiring of Maria Gomez-Rocque for the position of Assistant Superintendent of Academics.

The Board approved the quote from Bumper to Bumper in the amount of $10,999.99 to purchase two refrigerant machines for the transportation department to allow transportation staff to work on the various systems throughout the fleet, and approved the quote from Southwest Solutions in the amount of $49,998.00 to furnish and install a mobile storage system for the renovated LHS Library storage room.

Also approved was the bid from Midwest Bus Sales in the amount of $166,670.00 to purchase a replacement 77 passenger bus and the quote from Shawnee Mission Ford in the total amount of $174,731 to purchase 2 – 10 passenger vans and 1 – full size SUV.

Approved at Monday’s meeting was the agreement with Quantum Education for a virtual case manager for Special Education and approved was professional consulting services from J CASAS which would include 2 coaches for 4 days each in September, November, January and March for professional Development.
