USD 480 Approves Three New Girls Coaches

Due to an increased number of girls participating in sports at LHS, the USD 480 school board approved three new assistant coaches for girls sports.  The board met Monday night.  The LHS volleyball, girls basketball, and girls soccer program will add one assistant coach.  That will begin immediately.  The board also approved new wrestling mate for Eisenhower Middle School for $10,154 dollars.

The board authorized the transportation department to purchase up to 300 thousand dollars on transportation in the district.  About 155-thousand of that would be for a new yellow school bus.  About 90 thousand dollars would be for two new suburbans.  Two half ton pick ups for the grounds and maintenance department for about 28 thousand dollars.  And about 27 thousand dollars toward a new service truck.
