The USD 480 Board of Education met on Monday evening, and after approving the Consent Agenda, the Board approved the renewal for Navigate 360 in the amount of $12,854.40. Navigate 360 Emergency Management Suite is an application that can provide a common platform to district staff to utilize during drills and emergency situations.

The Board also approved the contract with eLuma for Remote Speech services. This contract will help alleviate caseload numbers and ensure students that receive Speech and Language services across the District are covered.

Approved at Monday’s meeting was the position of Assessment Specialist for Special Education, and the bid from Southern Office Supply in the amount of $29,773.00 was approved to purchase 32 cafeteria tables to replace the existing old style fold up cafeteria tables remaining at Cottonwood and Sunflower Elementary Schools.

The Board approved the purchase and implementation of Music Play for the K-5 schools in the amount of $4,155.06 and also approved the Budget Amendment and Republished the KPERS Special Retirement Budget 2022-23.

The current scoreboard at the LHS Redskin Field was originally purchased in 2006 and is in need of repairs and upgrading. The Board of Education approved the purchase and installation of the Daktronics Live Video Display Scoreboard at Redskin field not to exceed the amount of $238,145.00.

The board approved consideration of the appeal of the Review Committee recommendations.

In two added agenda items, the Board approved the“Instructional Curriculum and Professional Learning” and the Instructional Curriculum and Professional Learning.
