USD 480 Approves 2022-2023 Budget

The USD 480 Board of Education met Monday evening and adopted Resolution 8-22-2022 which allows the Board to exceed the Revenue Neutral Rate for the 22-23 Budget. The Board then approved the 2022-2023 Fiscal Year Budget.

Also approved was the Microsoft Renewal in the amount of $51,939.85, this reflects a savings of almost $4,500 over last year’s renewal rate. The Board approved changes to the 2022-23 FOCUS student handbook and the changes to the Certified Handbook for 2022-2023.

The Board also approved the purchase of three ten-passenger vans, price not to exceed $153,000 in total for the three vans, from Shawnee Mission Ford. These vans are an aftermarket reconfiguration that meets the federal requirements for a 10-passenger van. Pricing for each van is $45,767 for the base unit, approximately $1,000 for delivery fees, and $4,000 for the reconfiguration, just under $51,000 per unit. These vans filled the order that had been canceled last year.
