A man from Ulysses has died after rear ending a semitrailer on Saturday afternoon at approximately 2:55 pm

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 1982 Peterbilt Semi and a 2005 Kenworth Semi were both headed west on U.S. 160 at mile marker 54, 14 miles east of Ulysses.

The Highway Patrol says the Peterbilt slowed to turn onto Kansas Highway 190 when it was rear-ended by the Kenworth.
The driver of the Kenworth, 74-year-old James Wilson, of Ulysses, was brought to Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the Peterbilt, Vernal Keith Lattimore, 39 of Ulysses, was not injured.
