Tyrone Falls Two Points Shy in Class C Semifinal

Tyrone missed on three of four two point conversions. Pond Creek-Hunter converted two extra points for a 28-26 win over Tyrone in the Class C semifinal at Woodward.
Tyrone scored first as Jonathan Corales scored on a two yard run and the Bobcats converted the two point conversion at the 4:18 mark. Pond Creek-Hunter answered with a 41 yard run at the 2:12 mark for an 8-8 tie. Tyrone scored on a 14 play drive with 8:01 to play in the half on a one yard run by Josh Bean. Pond Creek-Hunter answered with a two yard run by the quarterback to tie the game at 14. The game was tied 14-14 at the half. Neither team scored in the third quarter. Tanner Hurst’s 26 yard run run gave the Bobcats the lead at the 11:15 mark to make it 20-14. The Panthers tied it with a one yard run at the 8:54 mark to tie it at 20-20. The Panthers scored with 2:48 to play to lead 28-20. Tyrone scored on an eight yard run by Hurst to make it 28-26 with only seconds left. Tyrone finishes 11-1.
