Two Vehicle Accident Sunday Afternoon in Meade County

A two vehicle accident occurred Sunday afternoon at approximately 2:10pm 2 miles west of K25 in Meade County.
A 2010 Dodge Charger being driven by an unknown individual, as he ran from the scene, was heading east, then drifted across the center lane and struck a 2016 Chevy Malibu being driven by Reymundo Suarez-Galvan, 61 of Liberal. The Malibu lost the front driver’s side wheel and came to a rest facing south in East bound lane. The Charger came to a rest in the South ditch.
Suarez-Galvan and a passenger in the Malibu, Gloria Suarez, 52, also of Liberal, were taken to Meade District Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Seatbelts were not in use in the Malibu.
