A two vehicle accident occurred Monday morning at 7:50am 24 miles north of Liberal at the US 83/K 190 intersection. A 2009 Peterbuilt semi being driven by William Anderson,59, of Minden Louisianna, turned on his right turn signal and moved into the right lane at the intersection. Anderson then attempted to make a left hand turn, striking a 2005 Peterbuilt semi being driven by Brian Bogart, 41, of Copeland, on the right side. Anderson was taken to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal to be treated for his injuries. Bogart was not injured. Safety restraints were in use in both vehicles.
