Two Semi’s Collide On Highway 54, One Injured

On Wednesday September 24th, a 2015 Kenworth Semi being driven by Bobbie J. Graham, 50, of Stratford Texas, was West Bound on US 54, 6.8 miles East of Liberal, when he crossed the centerline, striking a 1999 Freightliner being driven by James Eyster, 42, of Ball Ground Georgia, down the drivers side and trailer. Both vehicles came to rest in the south ditch area. Eyster and Graham were not injured, but a passenger in the Freightliner, Jeffrey Johnson, 34, of Fairmount Georgia, was taken to Southwest Medical Center to be treated for his injuries. Johnson was in the sleeper of the truck at the time of the accident. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts when the accident occured.
