Two Injured in Cimarron County OK Accident

A personal injury accident occurred Sunday morning at approximately 8:40 am, northbound on US-287
at E0220 Rd, approximately 2.8 miles south of Boise City, OK in Cimarron County.

A 2022 Nissan pickup driven by Juan Luis Palacios, Jr,30 of
Hidalgo, TX was northbound on US-287. A 2019 Freightliner driven by Ervin Nova Richards,52 of 
St. Petersburg, FL. was southbound on US-287.  

The Nissan crossed the center line, entering the southbound lane of traffic striking the Freightliner.  
After impact the Nissan1 entered the west ditch in a broad slide, rolled 2 times coming to rest 
on its wheels. The semi came to a controlled stop on the southbound shoulder of US-287.

Palacios was transported by Boise City EMS to Cimarron Memorial Hospital in Boise City, OK, then
transferred by Life-Star to Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, TX. He was admitted in stable condition
with leg and shoulder injuries.

Nova was transported by Boise City EMS to Cimarron Memorial Hospital in
Boise City, OK. He was treated and released.
