Two Bee Jays Make All Jayhawk League First Team

Two Liberal Bee Jays made the first team all Jayhawk League team. Pitchers Ray Ashford and Blake Rogers make the squad while infielder Mike Rampone is a second team all Jayhawk League player.
Ashford, a Wichita State pitcher from Sachse, Texas was 3-0 with a 1.88 ERA for the 19-21 BJ’s. Ashford had 32 strikeouts and 16 walks in 38.1 innings for Liberal.
Rogers, an Oklahoma pitcher from Lewisville, Texas was 0-3 with two saves and a 1.32 ERA. Rogers had 15 strikeouts and three walks in 13.2 innings pitched. Rogers played at Cisco College before joining the BJ’s and signing with the Sooners.
NJIT’s Mike Rampone made the second team all Jayhawk League as an infielder. The Mendham, New Jersey native hit .320 with two homers and 18 RBI’s. He slugged 11 doubles for the BJ’s.
The Bee Jays were 19-21 and finished fifth in the Jayhawk at 13-21.
