Twenty-One SCCC Student-Athletes Earn NJCAA All-Academic Awards

LIBERAL, Kan. – Seward County Community College athletes continue to show that not only do they excel on the field and the court, but also in the classroom.

A total of 21 Saints and Lady Saints achieved NJCAA All-Academic Student-Athlete Awards for the 2018-19 year. There were seven named to first team, five to second team and nine to third team.

Baseball led the way with eight players earning awards, volleyball had four, men’s tennis and women’s basketball each with three, softball had two and women’s tennis with one.

Student-athletes are eligible to earn academic honors by achieving an overall GPA of 3.60 or higher. First Team is 4.00, Second Team is 3.99-3.80 and Third Team is 3.79-3.60.
