Halloween, long a favorite of children, is not as safe as it once was, but local and area trick-or-treaters can enjoy a secure alternative when SCCC/ATS hosts its annual Trick-or-Treat Street from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Thursday Oct. 30th.
The event, held in the student union, welcomes guests to campus. Last year’s version drew more than 1,000 visitors, including a troupe of small boys dressed as the minions in the animated movie “Despicable Me.”
Student activities director Wade Lyon oversees the sugar-fest, which provides booths and activities sponsored by various student groups on campus.
First-floor guests can enjoy traditional candy-gathering, while a second-floor offers a haunted hallway for those who are not faint of heart.
All ages are welcome to the event, which is free of charge.
