Trenton Hammond is Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week

Liberal junior wide receiver, cornerback, and kick returner Trenton Hammond is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week. Hammond caught six balls for 128 yards and two touchdowns in Liberal’s 43-27 loss to Ulysses Friday night at the Cornelsen Sports Complex. Hammond led the WAC in receiving last year with 23 catches for 521 yards and nine TD’s. Hammond won the 5A state track 300 meter hurdle title as a freshman and was runner up behind teammate Adebayou Braimah as a sophomore.
