Texas County officials confirmed four positive COVID-19 tests on Tuesday, May 26. The results were for four Guymon residents. County officials confirmed Texas County’s COVID-19 count is now at 893 total cases. Residents are asked to wear a face covering and maintain proper social distancing.
Texas County is third in the state for total confirmed cases behind Tulsa County which has a total of 935 cases with 735 of those recovered and 47 deaths, according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health. OSDH is reporting Texas County at 890 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 561 recoveries, and 5 deaths. Oklahoma County has the most confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state at 1216, 1019 recoveries, and 58 deaths.
Not all agencies report data in the same 24-hour period, and officials recognize the occasional variance of numbers in reporting. For more data on confirmed COVID-19 cases visit the state’s website www.coronavirus.health.ok.gov. OSDH is not reporting hospitalizations for our county COVID-19 cases.

An investigation into any positive result is standard and all persons in close contact with the person will be notified by the Oklahoma State Department of Health and advised of quarantine and testing procedure.
