Three Saints Invited to JUCO Showcase

LIBERAL, Kan.- Seward County Community College men’s basketball team will be represented in Atlanta Georgia for the 2020 All-American JUCO Showcase. Ahmed Ibrahim, Bee McCrary, and Surakata Jawara have been invited to the showcase that features the top 160 JUCO student-athletes entering their sophomore seasons.
Ahmed Ibrahim is a 7’1 center from Alexandria, Egypt can stretch the floor and protects the paint. During the season Ibrahim averaged 8.2 minutes, 3 points, 2.8 rebounds per game, and shot 50% from the field.
Bee McCrary is a 6’1 guard from Little Rock, Arkansas, and can score at all levels. McCrary had a standout freshman year being voted to the KJCCC second-team honors and averaged 11.4 points, 2.1 assists, shot 40% from three, and 44% from the field.
Surakata Jawara is a 6’7 combo guard from the Bronx, New York with the ability to play one through four. Jawara started 25 out of the 31 games this season and averaged 7 points, 6.3 rebounds, and shot 49% from the field.
This event will be held on August 15-16 and will be open to coaches at the four-year level to give these players more exposure. The Saints will be well represented with these three talented student-athletes as they start their pursuit for the next level.
