Monday morning, Texas County Commissioners lifted the Burn Ban which has been held in place for over the past month.  With recent rains, heavy moisture from snow, and more expected precipitation, it has temporarily deceased expected fire danger.  

Citizens and land owners in the County area encourage to call the Texas County Dispatch Center at (580) 468-0915 before conducting any controlled burns.
