Seward County Community College/Area Technical School is offering a Sustainable Agriculture Resources Summer Academy for high school students June 2-5.

Sustainable Agriculture includes agricultural practices that focus on the long-term enhancement of environmental quality and the resource base on which agriculture depends, basic human food and fiber needs, economic viability, and quality of life for farmers and society, said Erin Russell, SCCC/ATS Sustainable Agriculture Resources program specialist. Students will learn techniques and practices that are currently being utilized to assist in this endeavor.

Students will live in the dorms.

The cost is $100 before May 15 and $130 after May 15. Limited financial assistance may be available.
