Visitors to the Sternberg Museum of Natural History in Hays are learning more about an ancient, 40-foot-long crocodile that ate dinosaurs.

An exhibit called “The Science of SuperCroc” opened Saturday at the museum. It will remain on display through Aug. 5.

The exhibit includes the SuperCroc’s fossilized skull and a cast of its entire skeleton.

Visitors can also get a glimpse of what it was like to dig SuperCroc out of the Saharan Desert with an expedition tent and supplies on site.
