Sumner’s Season Ends at State

Evan Sumner wrapped up her Jr. carear at Smokey Hill in Hays for state golf. Evan strugged with the conditions of the day, it was cold and windy, and also with a difficult golf course. Evan had some really good shots today, but there were more wayward shots than good ones. Evan shot a 112 to finish tied for 51. This was a very good season for Evan. She medaled in 4 tournaments this year including a seventh place finish at regionals.
Baile Winslow won the tournament with a 78. She is from St. Thomas Aquinas. St. Thomas won the tournament as well, this makes them a consecutive 5 state titles. Hays placed 2nd and Andover placed 3rd.
