Sublette’s Shalee Lehning has the center stage again. It was something she did often at Sublette where she led the Lady Larks to state championships in 2004 and 2005. Lehning now plays for the Atlanta Dream of the WNBA in the finals. She scored five points in over 13 minutes of playing time in the Dream’s 79-77 loss at Seattle in game one. Game two is Tuesday night in Seattle and airs at 8 p.m. on ESPN2.
Lehning averages four points, three assists, and three rebounds a game for Atlanta. She is playing in her second season at a franchise which was 4-30 the year before Lehning arrived. Lehning was an All American at Kansas State and was an assistant coach at KSU last season.
