Street Sealing to Begin in Liberal

On the right a black asphalt seal coat is being applied, behind small chipped rock is falling from an application machine. The rock will be pressed into the asphalt and excess swept up. Chipsealing is a less costly alternative to resurfacing an asphalt road.
The City of Liberal is planning to start the annual street sealing program to recondition the street surface.
Weather permitting, the street sealing program will begin the week of JULY 11, 2023 thru AUGUST 11, 2023. Although we realize it is an inconvenience, please do not park on your street from JULY 11, 2023 thru AUGUST 11, 2023.
If the City finds that your car needs to be towed away in order to complete your Street, it will be towed away at YOUR expense!!
The sealing program can only be completed on a dry surface. Please do not allow excess water from lawn watering get on the street until your street has been covered.
