On Sunday, April 18, 2010, at about 10:43 p.m., officers were dispatched to Southwest Medical Center for a report of a stabbing victim. Responding officers learned that the stabbing occurred by Mahuron Park, 800 block of East Seventh.
Investigating officers learned that the 18 year old male victim got into a confrontation with a 19 year old male. A physical altercation ensued and the victim was stabbed several times.
The victim was transported to Southwest Medical Center by a private vehicle. He is expected to recover.
The investigation is ongoing. An affidavit will be forwarded to the County Attorney for review of potential charges.
