(GDH) Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt has ordered a special election for the office of Texas County District 2 Commissioner.

The filing period for the election will be Dec. 7-9, 2020; the special primary will be Feb. 9, 2021; and the special general election will be Feb. 9, 2021. If no primary is necessary, the special general election will be held on Feb. 9, 2021.

The County Commissioner vacancy exists due to the unexpected death of Commissioner Richard “Dicky” Bryan on Oct. 10, 2020.
