Southwestern Heights Looks to Change the Arrow

Southwestern Heights is trying to change the arrow.  The Mustangs were 1-8 last year and haven’t enjoyed a winning season since 2007.  They have won more than two games just twice in the past seven years.  J.R. Mendoza is in hist first year as head coaching after being a mainstay coaching the junior team for the past 20 years.  The Mustangs have some size on their side again this season and have 10 seniors, many of whom are linemen.

There are 38 out for football.  Some of the key players are Jr. QB/S  Omar Mercado, Sr. OL/DL Cooper Scripsick, Sr. OT/DT Tony Isais, Sr. RB/MLB Julious Trejo, Jr. TE/DE Isaac Amerin, Sr. T/DE Angel Puentes, Sr. G/DE Jaime Garcia, and Sr. FB/DE Kyler Cox.

The Mustangs were featured during Sportsguys Wednesday morning.
