Southwestern Heights announces the Valedictorian and Salutatorian for 2024.

Ryan Kisner, Principal, has announced Emma Stanfield as valedictorian and Kaylen Langhofer as salutatorian for the class of 2024. Emma is the daughter of Kurt and Jennifer Stanfield and Kaylen is the daughter of Doug and Melissa Langhofer. These selections are based on the students’ cumulative grade point averages throughout high school.

Emma has been involved in National Honor Society, where she serves as President, Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, and Powerlifting. She has also been a member of the SWH Leadership Team, Student Council, where she serves as President, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Kays, Choir, serving as Vice-President, Band, where she serves as President, and Scholars Bowl. She was also a delegate for Sunflower Girls’ State this past summer. She plans to attend the University of Kansas and major in Exercise Science.

Kaylen has been involved in Student Council, KAYS, National Honor Society, Band, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Volleyball, Basketball, and Cross Country. She is also a member of FFA, where she has served as the Chapter President for the past 3 years, and she is the Southwest District FFA Reporter for the current year. She is also a very active member in her local 4-H Chapter and has held many leadership roles with them and the Meade County 4-H Council. She plans to attend West Texas A & M University and major in Animal Science/Nutrition and minor in Ag Business.
Both students have worked hard over the past 4 years to maintain high grades, take dual-credit and outreach college classes, and also be involved in extra-curricular activities.
Southwestern Heights congratulates these students for their achievements and wishes them well in their future endeavors. Graduation will be on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at 3:00 pm at Southwestern Heights High School.
