Southwest Community Fiesta to Hold Pageant

The Cinco de Mayo Committee of Liberal will hold a Community Fiesta Pageant on Saturday September 14th, at the Seward County Activity Center starting at 7:00 pm with the doors opening at 6:00 pm. 8 young ladies will be vying for the crown and title of Miss Southwest Fiesta. The pageant will consist of Introduction, Interview, Cultural Costume, and Gown. The contestants will also be competing for scholarships.

Those competing include Frida Civis, Alana King, Giselle Erives Rojas, Janessa Rubio, Yarexi Carrillo, Penny Nuncio, Camillo Rios, and Gisel Tarango.

Cost to get in is $5.00 for adults, children 15 and under are free.

Sunday, the Fiesta will continue with a downtown parade at 2:30 pm, with food, fun, booths, games and entertainment at the Seward County Activity Center following the parade at 4:00 pm.
