Skins Remain Dominant with Shutout Over Maize

The Liberal soccer team continues to dominate.  Playing their third and final game at the Wichita South Titan Classic, the Liberal Redskins beat the Maize Eagles 5-0 Saturday morning.  Five different Redskins scored goals.

Josh Garcia got the scoring started with a D’Alessandro Chavira assist 23:25 into the game.  Alex Pedroza scored with a Josh Garcia assist with 9:51 remaining in the half.  The Skins led 2-0 at halftime.

In the second half, Jayden Gonzalez began the second half scoring with a Giezi Gonzalez assist.  Giezi Gonzalez scored with a Johnny Young assist with 25 minutes remaining.  Suain Moncayo scored his 8th goal of the season and 52nd of his career with 11:11 left with an assist from Jayden Gonzales.

The Redskins are 4-0 and host Hesston Thursday night for the home opener at Gary Cornelsen Sports Complex.  JV at 5pm and varsity at about 6:30.
