The Liberal Redskins are headed the right direction. Liberal beat Hays 52-40 Friday night in front of a big homecoming crowd to win their third straight game.

Hays dropped their eighth straight game but led 10-8 after one quarter. It was 19-17 LHS at halftime. The Redskins led by as many at 10 in the third quarter (35-25) and led 35-31 after three quarters.

DeVondre Livingston scored 18 while Osvaldo Villareal scored 14 and William Ross scored 10.

Liberal is 6-11 overall and 2-3 in the WAC while the Indians are 4-11 overall and 1-4 in the WAC. Hays is young this year starting four sophomores and a junior.

In the last 14 games in the series, Liberal has won seven and Hays has won seven.
