The Liberal baseball team won their fifth straight game in dominant fashion Friday night.  The Redskins won their semifinal game 13-1 over the Harrah Panthers at the Guthrie 89er Tournament at Squires Park.  Zayden Martinez clubbed a grand slam and Marco Alonso pitched a complete game one hitter.

Liberal scored one in the first and one in the third.  The Skins scored in the fifth before Harrah countered with a run in the bottom of the fifth to make it 3-1.  The Redskins broke the game open with a 10 run sixth.  Harrah only had one hit against Alonso while LHS had 10 hits.

Marco Alonso pitched the distance with seven strikeouts and three walks.  Aidan Schwindt was 3-4 with two runs.  Marco Alonso was 2-2 with and triple and a double.  Adan Mata was 2-4 with three RBI’s.

Harrah is 17-11 and Liberal is 7-6.  The Redskins play the Piedmont Wildcats Saturday night at 5:45.
