Sizzling Start for Lady Skins in Opening Win

Liberal was ready this year. For the first time in four years, the Liberal Lady Redskins win their opener. The Lady Skins raced to a 28-4 lead and won 54-38 at Holcomb Friday night.

LHS led 32-15 at the half. Holcomb cut the LHS lead to 32-23 with a 19-4 run but the spread was never less than 10 after that point. Jada Mickens fought off foul trouble and scored 16 while Ali Lucero had 15 and Diamond Bailey scored 11. LHS made 15-19 free throws after shooting 45 percent at the line last season.
