An injury accident occurred on Sunday evening at 9:40pm on State Highway 94, 1 mile south of Hooker, Oklahoma in
Texas County.
A 1999 Dodge 2500 pickup driven by Nicholas Hofferber, age 40 of Hooker, Oklahoma was traveling north on Highway 94 when the vehicle departed the roadway on the east side striking a dirt mound causing the vehicle to flip one time onto its wheels. The pick up proceeded to roll one time and coming to rest on its wheels.
Hofferber was transported by Hooker EMS to Seward County to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, later to be
transported by Life/Save Flight to Wesley Medical Trauma in Wichita, Kansas. Admitted in stable condition
with arm, leg, trunk internal and head injuries.
He was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.
