Shooting a Struggle for Lady Saints in Loss at McCook

The Seward Lady Saints lost for the first time Tuesday night at McCook.  The Lady Indians held off SCCC 57-55 at McCook.  McCook led 15-12 after one quarter and out scored Seward 16-9 in the second quarter to lead 31-21 at the half.  Seward’s offense woke up a bit in the second half out scoring McCook 34-26, but it wasn’t enough.  The Lady Indians shot 43 percent from the the field while going 5-13 from three point range and 12-20 at the free throw line.  McCook also out muscled Seward on the boards 40-34.  McCook had 21 turnovers and Seward had 13.  Seward struggled to shoot hitting 29 percent from the field while going 6-23 from three and 13-22 from the foul line.  Seward falls to 3-1 and hosts Northeastern (Colorado) Monday night at 6pm in the Green House.  Saints Shoot-around at 5:45 on B107.5.
