As his Saints continue to prove themselves as a force in
the Jayhawk West Conference race, sophomore Kaheem Ransom has stepped to
the forefront to lead the charge and was rewarded this week by being
named the KJCCC Player of the Week for the second time this season and
the fourth time in his career. Ransom elevated his game this week to
lead the Saints to a pair of Jayhawk West Conference wins to remain in
the race for a league title. Ransom scored 19 points and had 6 rebounds
Wednesday in the Saints 67-60 win over the Colby Trojans and nailed 6
three pointers in a 25 point effort against Pratt in the Beaverdome on
Friday. On the week the guard from Wichita averaged 22 points 5
rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. He shared the honor this week with
Algie Key from Barton who was named the Co-Player of the Week.
