Considering Seward players, coaches, parents, and fans traveled all the way to Arizona to play softball this week, they want to maximize their experiences on the trip. After going 3-1 in El Paso last weekend Seward began play in Arizona Thursday. The Saints won the first game 3-1 behind pitcher Erin Roufosse pitched SCCC to the win. Brianna Baron added an RBI single. Seward led 3-0 before Scottsdale chased home a run in the 7th. The game was played in 85 degree weather. Seward won game two due to a forfeit. Several Scottsdale players and pitchers were injured causing a forfeit. Scottsdale only had 11 players to begin with. Seward is 22-4. The Lady Saints have enjoyed their time off the field as well. Wednesday they saw at Rangers-Mariners Spring Training game and shopping has been part of their trip as well. Seward plays three games Friday with an 11 AM game against Glendale, Central Arizona at 3 PM, and Eastern Arizona at 5 PM.
