The Seward County softball team rallied past the visiting Otero Rattlers not one but twice Tuesday afternoon at French Family Field.  Seward topped Otero 8-6 and 8-7.  It was sunny and breezy with temperatures in the 80’s and the wind blowing out to left.

In game one, the Rattlers led 6-2 going to the bottom of the fifth.  Seward scored two in the fifth to make it 6-4.  The Saints scored four in the sixth to take the lead and would hold on to win.

In game two, Seward scored three in the first for the early lead.  Otero scored two in the fourth and SCCC plated three in the fourth to lead 6-2.  Otero rallied with two in the fourth, three in the fifth, and one in the sixth.  The game was tied 6-6 after seven innings and went into the 8th.  The  Rattlers scored one in the eighth and Seward plated two runs to win 8-7 in a walk off.

Seward is 16-24 overall and Otero is 12-20.  Seward hosts Northwest Tech Wednesday at 1pm.
